Paul G. LaFlamme, Jr.

Paul LaFlamme, better known as PG, has been involved with the drum corps for most of his life. Participating as a member from 1986-1994, Paul learned drum corps operations from the ground up. A member of the Board of Directors from 2000 on, he became President of the Spartans in 2009.

In private industry, Paul has owned and operated a number of businesses including real estate, title insurance, and property management. Paul also served for two terms in the NH House of Reps from 2000-2004. He lives in Nashua with his wife, Kathryn and two children Julia and Andrew.

Paul G. LaFlamme, Sr.

Paul grew up in Nashua, NH and is the son of the founder of the organization. He is a graduate of Nashua High School. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1972, he went to work for the Tulley Buick Dealership in Nashua, where he still works as a member of their management team. Paul attended Daniel Webster College and NH Vocational Technical College and is a graduate of General Motors University of Automotive Management. He is a former member of the Spartans and has spent most of his life working with and traveling with the Corps as a member, a parent, a bus driver, and as a board member.

Anthony Montesion

Anthony marched in the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps from 2002-2006 and was on the visual staff 2007, and 2010-2018. He has held a variety of roles within the Spartans organization over the past two decades, most recently, as Operations Director for the drum corps and as the Administrative Director for Spartans Indoor Percussion.

Anthony has taught numerous high school marching band programs in Massachusetts, including Shepherd Hill Regional High School, helping the group earn 4 USBANDS National Championships and 3 NESBA Championships during his tenure. Anthony has also previously taught at Fitchburg High School and Mansfield High School.

Anthony graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Fitchburg State University then earned his Master of Education in Education Administration from UMASS-Lowell. Anthony currently works as a public school administrator in Massachusetts.

Leah Dunbar

Leah Dunbar is an arts administrator, educator, arranger, and five-season alumna of the Spartans. She is currently the Assistant Director for the Salem Blue Devils Percussion Ensemble and has taught and arranged for numerous programs in New England and Ohio. In addition, Leah was part of the inaugural Bluecoats Fellowship Program for front ensemble arranging and performs with the marimba ensemble Apricus Duo.

Jared Logan

Jared is an alumnus of the Spartans and taught on the percussion staff from the fall of 2019 through the summer of 2022. He has a bachelor’s degree in Music Studies and a master’s degree in Public Administration: Public Humanities and the Arts from UMass, Lowell.

He has been teaching in the New England area since 2014 for many local programs while maintaining his role as assistant percussion director at Everett High School. Jared is currently the band director at Lowell (MA) High School.

Isaac Schneider

Isaac Schneider is a music educator and proud Spartans alumnus. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Ithaca College and is currently the Band Director at Port Chester High School in Port Chester, NY. Isaac has been serving as the Tour Manager for the Spartans since 2024.

Bruce Preston

Bruce Preston is a professional photographer specializing in event, sports, and portrait photography. He brings more than 25 years of experience creating compelling visual stories from national gymnastics tournaments and local athletics to corporate events, headshots, and branding imagery.

Bruce began his photography career after a decade in corporate finance, where he built a strong business foundation supported by an accounting degree and an MBA. He first worked as a newspaper photojournalist, covering everything from school and community events to spot news and major political stops, producing both assignment-driven images and creative standalone photographs.

A lifelong marching arts supporter, Bruce marched drum corps for more than 10 years and has photographed bands and drum corps throughout his career, including the 2005 DCI Championships in Foxborough and has photographed marching units in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the past 10 years. He is excited to join the Spartan Drum Corps media team for the 2026 season bringing together his two passions as he helps document the Spartans’ landmark first year as a World Class corps.

Charlie Quirk

Charlie returns to the Media Team for his 3rd year as Lead Videographer. Charlie was a member of the Spartans Indoor Percussion for 2 years as a synth player. His time in the group has created a strong bond between the staff, fellow performers, and himself. Charlie has also performed as a trumpet player throughout his high school career. Currently, he pursues photography with a background in astrophotography, he hopes to broaden his skillset by working in videography and photography in the marching arts. Look for Charlie on tour with the Spartans this summer!

Greg Brooks

Greg Brooks is a professional photographer specializing in portrait, event, and motorsports photography. He studies Mechanical Engineering at Mississippi State University, where he was the social media coordinator for the Formula SAE team before becoming the Business Lead, and he is a social media student worker for the Office of Public Affairs.

Greg’s work with MSU has landed him opportunities and recognition across the university through newspaper publications and being featured as the cover photo for the 2024-2025 Bagley College of Engineering Annual Report. In the Fall of 2025, he photographed a concert featuring Shaggy and Natasha Bedingfield, which helped kickstart his freelance business in Starkville.

Greg has been a lifelong student of music and supporter of the marching arts. He has played trombone for the Famous Maroon Band, MSU Wind Ensemble, MSU Symphony Orchestra, MSU Trombone Ensemble, and he was the Senior Drum Major in his high school marching band. He is excited to join the Spartans for their World Class debut, to capture memories, and to create art.

James Thomas

James Thomas is an Indianapolis-based photographer, videographer, and creative director specializing in marching arts and live performance media. James currently serves as the Director of Media for the Plainfield High School Marching Band, where he developed and leads the program’s media team while helping shape the visual identity and digital presence of one of Indiana’s most recognized band programs.

James has built a reputation for creating impactful visual media within the marching arts, collaborating with internationally recognized organizations and brands including Fred J. Miller Inc., The Marching Exchange, Accel Activewear, Pearl/Adams, and Tama – Bergerault. Since 2023, he has also contributed as a staff photographer for Drum Corps World and Bateman Photography.

Oliver Sanchez

Oliver Sanchez is a Texas Based photographer currently studying as a Music Education Major, attending The University of Texas at Tyler. While attending school he has also spent time as a performer with various corps, including: the Blue Knights 2022, The Cadets 2023 and The Santa Clara Vanguard 2024.

Oliver has also spent time with the Crossmen in 2025 and 7th Regiment in 2024 as head of both media teams serving as a photographer and videographer. Along with these accomplishments, he will also be teaching this summer on the visual staff with The Troopers. This is Oliver’s first year with the Spartans as a photographer.

Ryan Staats

Ryan is a Cincinnati-based photographer and videographer specializing in the marching arts. A lifelong fan of the activity, Ryan’s own career on the field spanned 2017 to 2024, including seasons with Inertia Winds, Valhalla Winds, Cincinnati Tradition, and Rhythm in Blue.

His professional media journey began 2023 when he began working in live broadcast with Box5 Media for Bands of America going to multiple Regionals, Super Regionals, and even Grand Nationals. Since then, he has collaborated with numerous organizations across the summer and winter months. After volunteering briefly with the Troopers media team towards the end of the 2025 season, he transitioned into a busy 2026 winter season as a WGI Regional media team member, providing both photography and videography for the Mid East Performance Association (MEPA) and Juxtaposition Winterguard.

Tim Rodriquez

Tim Rodriquez is a photojournalist based in Gainesville, Florida. He is most known for his work with the Harlem Globetrotters, Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, and Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. After graduating from college in 2022 with a degree in Automotive Service Management Technology, he believed that his creative storytelling would have a greater impact when viewed through the lens of photography.

Rodriquez has worked as a photojournalist with Mainstreet Daily News since March of 2023.

Living in Gainesville, Rodriquez’ collaborations have led to working with local news outlets, Gators’ sports events, and many clients around the country. Following his work with the Colts, Rodriquez joined Bluecoats as an associate photographer to Josh Clements.

He continues his work with the Globetrotters on their 100-year tour, as well as with Bluecoats as an associate photographer. This is his first year with the Spartans.

Zach Janis

Zach Janis is a Digital Content Producer and Public Address Announcer from Los Angeles, California. When he’s not finding his lost golf ball, or looking for that one picture, Zach serves as a public address announcer and social media lead for the University of Utah Marching Band, as well as a videographer for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps.

Zach obtained his degree in Journalism from the University of Utah in 2020, and has dedicated his professional career to advancing, highlighting, and advocating for the marching arts and its membership. Zach has been involved with the marching arts, either as a performer or as a staff member, since 2012.

Outside of his musical career, Zach currently works as a personal assistant in the special needs community. He loves taking care of his two adorable dogs (Hazel and Luna) and small bookstores with coffee shops. This is his first year with the Spartans.

Nat Lepera

With more than 15 years in the marching arts, Nat has developed a diverse background spanning performance, education, retail, and program development. Their experience reflects a deep understanding of both the creative and logistical demands that drive successful organizations.

Most recently, Nat spent four seasons with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, growing from box truck driver in 2022 to Assistant Merchandise Manager for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. They also worked in media with Arsenal DBC in 2019 after performing in the colorguard at Oregon Crusaders during their final competitive season (2018).

Since 2022, Nat has served as Head Colorguard Director at Sunnyvale High School, while continuing to teach, choreograph, and design for programs across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Passionate about fostering growth and building meaningful connections, Nat brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a performer-first mindset to every program they work with.

Nat is especially passionate about helping organizations grow—particularly those willing to subvert expectations, innovate boldly, and create new opportunities for their members and staff. They are thrilled to help forge a new path with the Spartans as the organization continues to make history.

In the offseason, Nat lives in The Colony, TX where they work as a florist and spend their free time road-tripping to Florida beaches, playing solitaire, and drinking far too much caffeine.
