It is our honor to announce the newest addition to the Albert LaFlamme Memorial Hall of Fame – Richard Rigolini.

When you think of the Spartans for the last 25 years you immediately think of Richie who, as the Corps Director, was key to our success, legacy, and growth.

Since 1994, under his caring and careful leadership, the Spartans have captured an unprecedented number of world championships and major awards.

  • 6 DCI Open Class World Championships Gold Medals; 2 Silver Medals, and 4 Bronze Medals
  • 25 Caption awards including 10 Color Guard, 6 High GE, 6 High Visual, 2 Percussion and 1 brass award

Most importantly, Richie expertly ushered the Spartans through difficult times during the last 25 years while the Drum Corps activity changed dramatically.

Richie was all about the member experience and our values of Respect, Responsibility, and Commitment.  He worked hard to instill those values in thousands of kids over the last 25 years.  His leadership helped create and maintain educational and performance opportunities for New England’s young people to experience Drum Corps.  He has retired from the Director’s role, but his legacy will live on well into the future.  We can’t thank you enough Richie!

Bizarre. Illogical. Contradicting. Strange. Unfamiliar. Intriguing.

Incorporating the visual palette of surrealism and the musical canvas of Ojos de Brujo, The Dear Hunter, Polyphia, Charles Mingus, and No Doubt, the Spartans explore the techniques of surrealist artists and the unbridled imagination of the subconscious in their 2023 program, Surreal.

Can’t survive, with the secrets we have…

Spartans Indoor Percussion is excited to present our 2023 program, Tremor. Everyday our lives are impacted by small events that can have a significant impact. From our least memorable interactions, to the most significant relationships we share, every event forges us into the people that we ultimately become. Utilizing “Tremors” by English artist Sohn, SIP will explore the physical and emotional impact of the forces that constantly move us.

Competing in the Percussion Independent Open class, Spartans Indoor Percussion will be performing in the NESBA circuit around greater New England, as well as the Trumbull Regional on February 25th, Monroe Township on March 18th, and the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.

Come to see our Friends and Family performance on Feb 19 at the Elm St. school, Nashua, NH
Our NESBA home show is March 4 at Natick HS
