October , 2023 — The Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps is thrilled to announce the appointment of Anthony Montesion as the organization’s new Director of Ensembles. With an impressive background in the world of marching arts and a passion for cultivating young talent, Montesion is set to lead the Spartans into an exciting new era of musical excellence.
Anthony Montesion brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role. Anthony has been a part of the Spartans organization for over twenty years in progressively responsible roles, as a marching member, visual staff member, assistant operations director, and most recently operations director of the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps and administrative director of the Spartans Indoor Percussion. Over the years, Anthony has helped grow the Spartans organization, modernized operations, and led the organization through several initiatives. In his professional life, Anthony holds a masters degree in education administration and currently serves as a Dean of Students at the Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School in Massachusetts.
He has been an integral part of the marching arts community for over two decades, with a remarkable track record of success in a number of high school marching band programs in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. His commitment to artistic innovation, educational excellence, and nurturing the growth of young performers aligns perfectly with the mission and vision of the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps and Spartans Indoor Percussion. “We are thrilled to have Anthony Montesion join us as our new Director of Ensembles” said Paul LaFlamme, President of the Spartans. “His expertise and vision will undoubtedly propel our corps to new heights.
