The Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps is proud to announce the induction of Lennie Machado into the Albert A. LaFlamme Memorial Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2026.

For more than 25 years, Lennie served as one of the most influential educators and designers in Spartans history. From the late 1990s through 2024, Lennie led the building of a color guard and visual program that is recognized for excellence across New England and the nation, earning an unprecedented 10 DCI Best Color Guard awards and contributing to numerous championship performances.

His impact extends far beyond competitive success. Generations of members credit Lennie with helping them develop confidence, accountability, leadership, and resilience—qualities that shaped their lives both on and off the field. Through his teaching and mentorship, he established a culture of excellence that continues to influence Spartans members, staff, and alumni today.

The standards, traditions, and values Lennie helped create have become deeply embedded in the organization. Former students have returned as instructors and have stayed engaged with the corps, with new generations inheriting the expectations and commitment to excellence. The vision and leadership of Lennie Machado helped shape not only the Spartans Color Guard, but the identity of the corps itself.

Through decades of educational leadership, championship achievement, and personal mentorship, Lennie Machado has earned his place among those whose legacy is permanently woven into the history of the Spartans.
